He smirked, "Well we are still waiting for you to give us something besides riddles doctor."

"I've got nothing more than that to give you, Mr. Blackwood. The one thing that you and the corporation have in common is that arrogant belief you can control anything you come across down there. That's what got all of us into this mess in the first place." She looked back to the temple. "You do realize, Mr. Blackwood, that if I really wanted to get out of here, there's little you could do to stop me?"

Aya carefully crawled forward and peeked through the cockpit to the transport hold when it looked like no one was around she climbed up one of the sentries lined along the wall and crawled into the small cache inside the housing. She had taken the right opportunity because moments later after she closed the hatch, the pilot walked into the ship and into the cockpit. “Close her up!” Someone called when the engines were powered up and tested. The transport shifted as the thrusters fired and moved along the flight deck slowly until it gained clearance and shot out into space. Aya breathed a sigh of relief. She had done it, she was going back.

He tilted his head, "Well why don't you? Surely you'd find running free in the jungle down there preferable to being locked up here?"

A valid question, that. Celeste sat down, seeming to fall into a contemplative mood again. These swings of mood and moments when she stirred and realized she wasn't sure what she'd just been saying were starting to frighten her a little.

When she didn't respond he leaned forward, studying her face. "I have orders from the commander to keep you onboard, he seems to have taken a special interest. But remember.. I can probably override his authority if you decide to cooperate and help us." He tapped the glass, "Just let me know."

Aya could feel the ship shivering as it descended into Zephyrus’ atmosphere and the shudder when it hit the ground. She assumed that they wouldn’t be far from the Godspeed. It was a strange feeling when the sentries powered up upon landing one by one as the pilot remotely punched in the command. They whirred into life as the hatch was opened and the sentries filed outside. Aya didn’t dare to override control, not yet. The hatch closed again when the sentries were in formation. Upon a silent command the sentries turned and started towards the Godspeed in search of hostiles. The ship powered up again to return to the Inverness. The sentries would be left alone to clean up. It was still up in the air whether or not a rescue mission would take place, but it didn’t hurt to make the probable landing just a little safer. Once the ship rocketed back in space, Aya worked to override control of the sentry she was hiding in, shifting herself into a more comfortable position. The sentry halted while the rest of them went on to follow programming. The hacked sentry turned upon Aya’s command and headed towards the colony.

The planet around Aya seemed unnaturally still, as if it were holding its breath.
Celeste lifted her eyes to him, studying him with a sort of bemusement. The man's single mindedness was fascinating and a little frightening. He reminded her of a more polished version of Burke. "Perhaps, Agent, if you would give me an example of exactly what it is you think I can help you with?"

He leaned forward again, "It's clear there's something about this taint you hold that you're not telling us. If there is some strange psychic power emanating from that planet and the creatures there, how would you being touched in this way have no effect besides physical appearance?" His face grew slightly more grim, "What does this allow you to do? How does it affect you?"

Everything was so quiet. She wondered if there was anything left alive at all, or if the creatures had absorbed the survivors into the fold. And what about the kraken? Aya got the sentry going again, it’s piston legs eating up the distance towards the ruined colony. She’d check the cavern first, where she had last seen Liam.

"None of that answers my question." The mocking queen was back. She was jumping from mood to mood like a crazed gazelle. "If I could answer all those questions for you, what to you intend to -do- with that knowledge?"

Aya stopped the sentinel before the cavern entrance. The sentinal hissed as its piston legs folded to lower the mecha and the cockpit opened allowing Aya to climb out. She removed the coveralls from over her clothing as well as the hat tossing them in a heap on the ground. She ran a hand through her hair before stepping inside, wielding the heavy wrench as a bludgeon. "Laim?" She called, heading towards the door at the back which had housed the shuttle.

"You want to save your friends don't you? Well then we need to understand what we're dealing with. I'm not going to send a hundred men to their deaths because you won't spill the beans. You and what you hold seem to be the key to understanding this.. force." He sighed, leaning back in his chair, he called over his comm, "Captain.. do you think you could persuade Ms. Metria to tell us what she knows?"

Liam was nowhere to be found in the small shuttle bay, there was a faint blood trail leading out of the huge bay doors at the front of the cave, leading towards the colony.

Aya's stomach twisted sick as she saw the blood, she turned around and followed it outside. Her eyes led her towards the direction of the colony, so that is where she would go. She climbed back into the sentinal, powered it up and forced the pistons to work at full speed, taking her to the run down remains of the colony. It slowed when it stepped into the colony. She checked the blood trail by popping her head out of the cockpit and made her way down the dirt road. The gatling guns powered up, spinning a little as she readied the guns to take down hostiles.
