The doctor came with the equipment they needed. Godspeed's med technology was state of the art, which luckily meant they didn't have to cut her open. That hadn't always been the case for her, as was evidenced by the long scar along her belly, obviously from some kind of surgery.
For a while there was only the murmuring of the doctor and the other med techs. Luckily while they still didn't know why it happened, they were able to stop the bleeding with ease.

"Please let me know the moment Jacobs regains conciousness." Aya let the bustling doctor and nurses do their good work and stepped outside the medical wing to the public corridor. It was time to talk to Jinx.

After irritating Burke....Lord she loved messing with that ass....Jinx had calmly turned her attention back to the shuttle, idly running through the computers and monitors on it while she went about her other duties. The heavy doors that shielded the Godspeed's AI and computer core slid open for Aya when she identified herself, leading her through the decontamination process that was more to do with making sure her clothes and such didn't carry harmful particles that might damage the more delicate machinery. After it was done she was allowed in.

Aya patiently walked through the decontamination process and approached Jinx. As she did so, she removed her PII and clicked it off, sliding it into her lab coat pocket. "Hello Jinx. I came to talk to you." She lifted a finger and tapped her temple to indicate that her PII was removed and the conversation was just between them.

She sat in a floating chair in a glass booth in the center of the room, the booth studded with monitors and machinery. Dozens of cords and wires emerged from the booth and were hooked directly into Jinx's implants. She was a tiny woman with short dark hair and gray...well they were high tech ocular implants, not eyes. They focused and unfocused like a camera's lens. When in the booth, she didn't wear a uniform or jumpsuit, in fact her outfit was little more than scraps wrapped around her, leaving nothing to interfere with the implants all over her body. She was modified far more than was considered appropriate in society, not that she cared. A world famous...or rather infamous...decker and hacker, no one knew where she'd come from...or rather everyone knew a different story about where she'd come from and no one could prove it because there was no way to know if her records had been tampered with. It was doubtful even the corporation knew everything about her. She was a security nightmare. But she was good. Very good. Her extensive modification ensured she could monitor a hundred different flows of data at once, more than any human known. The exec who had been responsible for bringing her aboard the Godspeed had done so for two reasons: A- the Godspeed was unlike any ship that had ever been made and Jinx was enamored with it. And B- that old adage about keeping your enemies closer. Jinx wouldn't do anything damaging against the corporation that owned the Godspeed as long as she was on it and the fact they'd made a few outstanding warrants on her mysteriously disappear didn't hurt either. Talking to Jinx when she was hooked into the ship was an incredibly creepy experience. She couldn't speak to you directly when her mind was wrapped up in the ship so she spoke through the computers. She sounded as personable as ever and her face even moved with expressions, smiles or frowns, but her eyes were unfocused, she looked almost dead except for those movements. Her voice came out of the speaker near Aya. "Hey, Aya, what can I do for you?"

She took in a breath. Here goes nothing. She hadn't had much face to face contact with Jinx, one rarely did in any case, and for some it was just plain unsettling. But not to Aya. "Jinx... I assume you were party to the conversation between the Chief and myself?"

"Yea I kept an ear on it." Since it was rude to eavesdrop , usually someone would apologize or at least have the grace to be embarrassed to admit it. With Jinx...well...you kind of got used to expecting it. There was very little that phased her and privacy was just a word.

Aya nodded a little to herself. "I'm asking a personal favor, but this means you'll have to go over Burke's head." She smirked lightly. "I'd like to know exactly what Burke meant about my future in this company and why he is so interested in my past, if it is just Burke fucking around or there is something deeper at stake." ((Joe this is up to you what Jinx can get her hands on, but I'm sure there's more to come. Jinx would have been the source to go through is all. <3))

"I figure he's so interested in your past because he wants to make sure you aren't a threat to his precious company." Jinx said. "As for the other thing...I can't hack any files in security because they're linked directly to Carmine, so there's no way to get to those files without someone noticing eventually." Jinx scowled. It was hard for her to admit out loud that there was something she couldn't do, but it came with agreeing to work on the Godspeed.

"I see..." Her disappointment shone in her voice. "Thank you anyway."

"That doesn't mean I can't poke around in the Net to see what I can find," Jinx added. "I'll just have to do it discreetly." She grinned suddenly. "Hey, maybe he likes you and this is just the only way he can show it!"

"Blech!" She made a face. "Well, I know you'll do what you can. I have to get back..."

Jinx looked at her, physically, a rare instance of her coming back to her body for a brief second . Those strange eyes were knowing, a reminder that few remembered, especially the corporation representatives because they never saw her: Jinx was a woman who had survived..and thrived..on the very outskirts of society for most of her life, she wouldn't had survived if she didn't know how to read people. "Be careful, Aya, there's something very weird going on here. Give my regards to Jacobs and Celeste." Even though doubtlessly she'd be keeping an eye on them.

Aya was flattered that Jinx thought enough of her to give her that one, rare, personal moment. A warm smile spread across her face and touched her eyes. "I'll be sure to keep my eyes open. I know I can count on you to be my ears. Take care of yourself, Jinx." Aya snapped the PII back over her eye after turning it back on. She left Jinx to her work and left out through the portal. As soon as the door closed behind her, she called a communication to her assistant. "I'll be out for the rest of the day. I'm giving you authorization to take care of things while I'm away." Ms. Hiroshima? Her assistant's voice came over the PII. We were worried for you... you left in such a hurry..."I'm fine. Hiroshima out." She cut the conversation short with no explanation. It wasn't the kindest of things to do but she had more to worry about bruising her assistant's feelings. She let in and out a deep breath and walked back to the medical wing to see to Liam and Ms. Metira.

(Sorry for my absence guys, but I love how much you've continued. ) Burke chuckled, "Well then I guess he's off the hook, any idea what caused it yet?" Burke entered his office, it was rather illustrious, him being a division head and all. It was furnished with a deep oak desk, an antique he had picked up on Earth and had moved to the Godspeed. He preferred it to the cold metal that furnished most rooms. There was a also a large panoramic window that wrapped around behind the desk, showcasing the cosmos outside. He locked the door behind him, he needed time to think. He sat at his desk and spread out several papers and photos from numerous files. The company was breathing down his neck to find a certain something aboard the ship, something unplanned for. It had been discovered by him personally moments before the ship-wide synth-sleep was initiated. A rogue agent was on board the ship, from another corporation most likely, meant to sabotage the ship or the findings, make EDC look like fools for entering this sector. Aya was a prime suspect, for many reasons, almost everyone else on the ship had a pristine record with no kind of shady history. Except one particular file that had been withheld by the Captain, probably just another employee with a bad past but that was too valuable to the company. He poured over the documents.
